Getting started — how it actually works

What is NEXT BASKET AI, in one sentence?

It’s an AI software platform that builds and runs your online store for you — you choose the products and keep the revenue, while we handle the technology, the build, and the upkeep.

What does "SaaS store" mean in plain English?

SaaS stands for “software as a service.” Instead of buying, installing, and maintaining store software yourself, you get a ready-made store that runs on our technology — hosting, security, payments, and support included — for one flat monthly fee. Nothing to install, nothing to patch, no servers to rent.

Do you really build the store for me?

Yes — that’s the whole point. On BUSINESS and PRO, our team builds your working store in under 3 hours once we have your materials. Send us photos and a product list in whatever form you have — an invoice, a packing slip, a warehouse export, even a list you typed up — and you get back a live store with payments, shipping, and security already set up. This is the part most platforms skip: most give you a builder and leave the setup to you — we do the building for you.

How fast can my store go live?

Under 3 hours on BUSINESS and PRO, once we have your photos and product info — and that’s a written guarantee: if we miss it, your first month is on us. On START, where you build it yourself, it moves as fast as you do. And be a little skeptical of the “store in 30 seconds” claims you’ll see elsewhere — what you usually get is an AI draft full of placeholder text you still have to fix.

Do I need technical or design skills?

No. On BUSINESS and PRO, you never touch anything technical — we build it. On START, you work in a simple editor with AI help. No code, no hosting setup, no plugins to configure.

What do you need from me to get started?

Product photos, a product list in any format, your brand basics (a name, and a logo if you have one), and how you’d like to get paid. That’s enough for us to build with. Everything else — descriptions, SEO, categories — the AI and our team take care of.

Can I sell right away, or is there a waiting period?

Right away. Card payments, cash on delivery, and bank transfer all work from day one, and on BUSINESS and PRO we connect them for you before launch. There’s no “apply and wait a few weeks” step.

Pricing, fees & commission

How much does it cost? What are the plans?

Three clear plans, billed monthly — plus a custom ENTERPRISE tier if you outgrow them: START — $29/mo ($290/yr): you build it yourself; up to 100 products, 2 GB of hosting, 1 store. BUSINESS — $49/mo ($490/yr), most popular: we build it for you in under 3 hours; up to 2,500 products, 10 GB, free migration, a personal consultant, and the core AI suite. PRO — $99/mo ($990/yr): everything in BUSINESS, plus a second store, 10,000 products, 50 GB, the advanced AI (including the AI tester, in beta), and first access to the API and webhooks, launch simulation, AI Visibility, and MCP server — all in development, rolling out to PRO first. ENTERPRISE — custom: large catalogs, custom SLAs, custom integrations. Your first month on BUSINESS or PRO is $1. If you use the included store-building or migration service, a minimum commitment of three paid months applies; if you cancel earlier, a disclosed one-time setup fee of $199 applies. Pay for a year and you get two months free.

Do you take a commission or a percentage of my sales?

No. Zero percent. We never take a cut of your revenue, and there are no sales-volume (GMV) caps. That matters more than you’d think: most platforms either take a percentage or tack on a surcharge when you use a payment provider other than theirs. Shopify adds 0.2–2% on top if you don’t use Shopify Payments; Squarespace’s Business plan takes 3%. We take zero, on every plan.

What will I actually pay — are there hidden costs?

The plan price covers everything on our end: hosting, SSL, security, support, and the build itself (on BUSINESS and PRO). You pay for exactly two things separately, both of which you’d pay anywhere: your domain (about $10–20 a year) and your card processor’s standard fee (typically around 2.9% + 30¢) — and we add nothing on top of the processor. There is no upfront implementation fee, and no “essential” paid add-ons hiding behind the sticker price. If you use the included build or migration and cancel before completing the three-paid-month minimum, a disclosed one-time early-cancellation setup charge of $199 applies. If you’ve read that a $29 platform really runs $80–120 a month once you add apps, themes, and email — that’s exactly the gap we removed.

What add-ons cost extra?

No surprises — this is the complete list: An extra 10 GB of storage — $5/mo. An extra store beyond what your plan includes — $29/mo on BUSINESS, $49/mo on PRO. A manual upload of 500 more products — $50 (assuming your product data is clean and ready to import). Custom design or integrations — quoted individually. That’s the whole list.

What’s the deal with the $1 first month and the annual discount?

BUSINESS and PRO start at $1 for your first month — long enough to see real results, not a rushed 7-day trial. Pay annually and you pay for 10 months but get 12: $290, $490, or $990.

Will my price go up as I grow, or when I renew?

No. The price is the price. There’s no renewal hike and no forced upgrade when your sales grow — that’s by design. Some platforms automatically move you to a pricier tier once your yearly sales cross a threshold; with us, selling more never raises your platform fee. You change plans only when you want more products or features.

Is there a contract or lock-in?

It’s month to month, and you can cancel at the end of any month — with one clearly disclosed exception: if you use the included store-building or free migration service, a minimum commitment of three paid months applies, and cancelling earlier means a one-time setup fee of $199. The annual plan is optional, and it exists for exactly one reason: it saves you two months.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, anytime — up or down — and the change takes effect the following month. No penalty in either direction.

Do you offer a free plan?

No — and here’s the honest reason why. “Free” store plans almost always hide the cost somewhere: a higher card-processing rate, ads or someone else’s branding on your store, a mandatory payment processor, or a monthly sales minimum. We’d rather charge a clear $29 and take 0% of your sales than bury the cost where you can’t see it. The $1 first month exists so you can genuinely try BUSINESS or PRO.

Payments

What payment methods can I accept?

Cards, cash on delivery, and bank transfer, all from day one. On BUSINESS and PRO, we set them up for you.

Do I have to use your payment processor?

No. You’re free to bring your own processor and merchant account — we don’t lock you into ours in exchange for a low price. That’s a common trap elsewhere: some budget or free plans restrict which payment processor you can use (check each provider’s current terms). We don’t play that game.

Do you add anything on top of card fees?

No. You pay your processor’s standard rate — typically around 2.9% + 30¢ — and we add zero. Processor fees are unavoidable no matter where you sell; the difference is that we don’t stack a platform surcharge on top.

When and how do I get paid?

Payouts go straight from your payment processor to your bank account, on the processor’s normal schedule — usually within a few business days. Because the money moves through your processor account, you’re always the merchant of record. We never sit between you and your revenue.

Moving your existing store in (migration)

Can you move my current store over to NEXT BASKET AI?

Yes. On BUSINESS and PRO, our team migrates everything — products, photos, descriptions, customers, and order history — from your current store (Shopify, WooCommerce, OpenCart, and others) within 72 hours, free — normally a $500 job. You don’t lift a finger.

Is the migration really free, or is there a catch?

Genuinely free on BUSINESS and PRO — it’s part of the plan, not a paid add-on. Here’s what’s worth knowing: most platforms leave migration entirely to you, and the “free” DIY route — a CSV export on Shopify or WooCommerce — often carries over products only. No customers, no order history, no images. We move all of it, by hand, so nothing gets lost.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

We preserve existing URLs where possible and implement redirects, canonical tags, metadata, and migration checks designed to minimize SEO risk. Search rankings may fluctuate during any platform migration and cannot be guaranteed. We treat protecting your search traffic as part of the migration job.

Is there any downtime? Will I stop selling?

No. Your old store keeps selling until the new one is built and verified. You flip the switch only when the new store is up and everything checks out.

What about my customers’ passwords?

For security reasons, passwords are never transferred between platforms — that’s true industry-wide, and it’s a good thing. Your customers keep their accounts and order history; they just set a new password the first time they sign in.

Your data & leaving whenever you want

Who owns my store, my data, and my customers?

You do. All of it — products, customers, orders. We host and operate the store; we never claim ownership of any part of your business.

Can I export my data and leave?

Yes — export anytime, free, no questions asked. Check this on any platform before you commit, because export limits are exactly where some of them can trap you: on certain plans, full-site export is restricted or only partial data comes out, and some site builders’ terms may claim rights over your content — so check each provider’s current terms. The honest test is: “If I want to leave in three years, what do I lose?” With us, the answer is nothing — you take your data with you.

Isn’t self-hosted (like WooCommerce) the only way to truly own my data?

That’s the classic trade-off: full ownership, but you’re personally on the hook for hosting, security, and updates. We give you the ownership without the burden — your data stays yours and portable, while we run the servers, apply the security patches, and keep everything up. You shouldn’t have to choose between control and convenience.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your store pauses, and your data sits safely where you left it — nothing gets deleted out from under you. Come back whenever you’re ready and pick up where you left off.

Support & your personal consultant

Is there real human support, or just a chatbot?

Real humans. You open a ticket by email or chat, and a person — an actual engineer — looks at your actual problem. We call this out because it’s a sore spot across the industry: several major platforms route you through an AI bot first, reserve phone support for their top enterprise tier, or staff their chat only on weekdays.

How fast do you respond, and when?

On BUSINESS: within 2 hours for urgent issues, 7 days a week, holidays included — coverage overnight through mid-afternoon, U.S. Eastern time (1:00 AM–3:00 PM ET; 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EET). On PRO: within 1 hour, 24/7, with priority. On START: email or ticket, answered within 48 hours. We also monitor your store proactively — we often fix things before you’d ever notice them.

What’s the "personal consultant"?

A specific person — not a call center — who knows your store, your goals, and your history. On BUSINESS, you get one for your launch plus periodic check-ins; on PRO, it’s ongoing. One continuous thread, so you never have to explain your business from scratch. Included in the plan.

What language is support in?

English. Support is available during the hours listed above, including overnight on PRO.

AI — what it actually does for you

What does the AI actually do? Give me the practical list.

Real work, not parlor tricks: Writes product descriptions in your brand voice. Generates SEO metadata for every page. Drafts email campaigns and Google, Meta, and TikTok ads for your approval. Suggests prices and promotions based on your margins. Answers shoppers 24/7 as a chatbot. Powers full-sentence search on your store. Hands you reports in plain English (“these 3 products drive 60% of your profit”). On PRO, it also adds an AI tester that checks your store after every change (in beta), and — in development now — a launch simulation where AI shoppers walk through your store and show you where you’d lose orders.

Can customers actually buy my products inside ChatGPT or Gemini?

Not fully yet — but your store is built for it. Your catalog is structured on the open AI-commerce standards (ACP/UCP), so your products are ready to be discovered by assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity, with a link that leads to checkout on your store. Whether and how each AI system surfaces or cites your products is up to that system. Completing the entire purchase inside the chat (agentic checkout) is in development now. To be straight with you: a few large players are moving in this direction too. What’s rare is getting it combined with a done-for-you build, a full store (not just a dropshipping widget), 0% commission, and human support. That combination is what we’re built for.

Does the AI talk to my customers, or just help me in the admin?

Both — and the customer-facing half is the point. On some platforms, the AI is an internal admin assistant only; it can’t say a word to your shoppers. Ours includes a shopper-facing chatbot that handles order status and store questions around the clock, in a human tone.

What is "GEO," and why should I care?

GEO is visibility in AI search — think of it as the new SEO. When a shopper asks an AI, “What’s a good gift under $30?” GEO is what makes your products eligible to be the answer. Your store ships with the structured data that makes that possible, and on PRO, an AI Visibility dashboard — in development now — will show you how ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity actually talk about your brand.

What’s the MCP server (PRO)?

A secure doorway — in development now — that will let AI agents work with your store: search the catalog, build a cart, and return a payment link, under rules you set. It’s how your store will plug into the emerging world of AI shopping assistants.

Do I stay in control of what the AI is allowed to do?

Completely. You decide exactly which actions an AI agent may take, every action lands in a full audit log, and sensitive steps require your explicit approval. You never give up control of your prices, your data, or your orders.

Reliability, security & the technology

Will my store crash on Black Friday?

No. Under heavy traffic, the platform adds capacity automatically (Kubernetes auto-scaling), and it’s built as independent microservices — orders, payments, products, and shipping each run as their own service, so if one comes under strain, the rest keep serving customers. Automatic scaling is designed to absorb major traffic spikes; actual capacity depends on the store, traffic pattern, integrations, and infrastructure configuration.

What’s your uptime?

The honest answer: we’re not going to wave a wall of nines at you. Here’s what we do instead. Every service is monitored around the clock, alerts reach our engineers before customers notice anything, and recovery from backups is rehearsed every week — not assumed. And on ENTERPRISE, we put a custom SLA in writing.

How safe is my data — what about backups?

Your data is backed up in multiple independent layers, including two different clouds. And it’s not theoretical: we regularly “delete” a test store and restore it from backups as a drill, so recovery is a rehearsed procedure — not a hope.

Is it PCI and GDPR compliant?

Yes. Card payments run through PCI DSS-certified payment processors — a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider such as Stripe — so the processor, not your store, carries the card-data certification. The platform also includes GDPR tooling for consent, data export, and deletion. The key part: on a managed platform you’re not carrying PCI scope yourself — on self-hosted platforms like Magento, PCI compliance is entirely on you.

Where is my store hosted?

On managed Kubernetes with a major cloud provider (EU region), behind Cloudflare’s global CDN and firewall — your store is served from the point closest to each customer, and attacks are stopped at the edge. Hosting is included in every plan; there’s no separate server bill.

Domain, hosting & your catalog

Is hosting included, or is that extra?

Included in every plan, along with SSL, domain setup, and attack protection. 2 GB on START, 10 GB on BUSINESS, 50 GB on PRO — and 10 GB comfortably holds thousands of products with photos. Need more? Add 10 GB for $5 a month, one click.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Bring a domain you already own, or start on a yourstore.nextbasket.shop subdomain. Either way, we set it up for you.

How many products can I have?

Up to 100 on START, 2,500 on BUSINESS, and 10,000 on PRO — with ENTERPRISE for anything bigger. Unlike some builders that get slow or clunky past a few hundred products, this platform was built to run large, complex catalogs smoothly.

How do I add or update products?

Coming September 2026, from your phone: snap a photo — the AI writes the description and suggests a price, the AI tester checks how it looks, and you publish with one thumb. Today, you can upload a photo, an invoice, or a CSV, and the AI brings your products in on its own, complete with descriptions and categories.

Ready-made dropshipping store

Do you offer a done-for-you dropshipping store?

Yes — a store that comes pre-loaded with products, descriptions, and photos, with payments, carriers, and marketing already wired in. It’s $500 one-time plus $44 a month (or $440 a year). Customers order from you, the products ship straight from the supplier, and the difference is your profit.

Who ships the products, and who handles returns?

When it launches, the supplier ships straight to your customer. Returned orders go to our returns warehouse — managing them is our problem, not yours.

Is profit guaranteed?

No — and be wary of anyone who promises you it is. Dropshipping is a real business, not a get-rich-quick button; most people who quit did so because they expected instant money. What we give you is a professional store, the tools, and a person to advise you — the honest ingredients for a real shot. Not a guarantee.

Web3 / NEBA Token

Do I have to deal with crypto?

No. Web3 is entirely optional, and your store runs perfectly without it. Crypto payments and NEBA Token rewards are rolling out in beta, enabled in stages by country, applicable rules, and plan. If you want them, you can reward loyal customers with bonuses in NEBA Token — the NEXT BASKET AI ecosystem’s own token — but it’s a switch you never have to flip.

Still on the fence? The first step is a 10-minute call — no commitment, no credit card. And the first month is $1 on BUSINESS and PRO.
